Introduction to the Engineering Systems specialization in construction
1. Introduction to the training program, duration of training, and degree awarded.
1.1. Introduction to the major:
Building Systems Engineering is one of the long-standing engineering disciplines at the University of Civil Engineering. This specialization trains engineers whose job is to create and integrate building systems, including air conditioning and ventilation systems, water supply and drainage systems, fire protection systems, elevator systems, and electrical, lighting, power, and communication systems, with the building's architecture and structure to create complete buildings that meet the comfort and safety needs of all residents and workers.

The Engineering Systems major is implementing a training reform based on the CDIO framework (C - Conceive, D - Design, I - Implement, O - Operate) to produce engineers with solid professional knowledge, proficient practice skills, and a positive work attitude to meet the increasingly high demands of society.
1.2. Training and degree awarding time
- Bachelor's degree (4 years)
- Engineer (equivalent to a master's degree: 5 ÷ 5.5 years)
2. Knowledge and skills acquired after graduation
Upon graduating with a degree in Building Engineering Systems, students are equipped with comprehensive professional knowledge, practical skills, and a professional work ethic to participate in the design, construction, supervision, and operation of building engineering systems effectively. This ensures safe and comfortable living and working conditions, while also meeting energy-saving requirements in buildings, aiming towards the goal of sustainable green building development.

Students do internships at businesses and factories.
3. Scholarship and academic support opportunities
Students majoring in Building Systems Engineering have many opportunities to win scholarships from renowned companies such as Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Mitsubishi Heavy, LG, Panasonic, DuctSox, etc. Full scholarships worth up to 25 million VND per year are available.
4. Job opportunities
Engineers who graduate with a degree in Building Systems typically work at:
- Leading real estate corporations and businesses in Vietnam such as Vingroup, Sungroup, ...;
- Consulting and design companies in the field of mechanical and electrical engineering for construction projects, both domestic and international, such as CDC, VNCC (Vietnam), PTA (Australia), Wim Boydens (Belgium), Kume Design Asia, Taikisha (Japan),…;
- Companies involved in the construction, installation, and supervision of building electromechanical systems, both domestic and international, such as Lilama, REE, Sigma, Hawea (Vietnam), Nitox, Bousai Kikaku (Japan), etc.;
- Measurement sets Large manufacturers and distributors of electromechanical equipment worldwide such as Daikin, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, LG, ...;
- State management agencies such as the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Department of Construction, etc.;
- Research institutes, universities, and colleges;
Graduates specializing in Building Engineering Systems are always welcomed by construction and mechanical engineering companies immediately after graduation, with attractive starting salaries. In recent years, many Japanese companies have directly recruited final-year students to work in Japan.

Measurements are taken to collect data for scientific research.
