The spirit of students in the Faculty of Environmental Engineering

The COVID-19 pandemic is developing in a complex manner both domestically and internationally, causing social hardship and economic decline in many places, prompting calls for public support and assistance to get through the pandemic.

The University of Civil Engineering and the Faculty of Environmental Engineering provided support and encouragement to students from other provinces stranded in Hanoi from the very beginning of the lockdown, both mentally and materially, helping them to overcome the pandemic. In addition, these students themselves performed admirable acts to help those in more difficult circumstances, such as donating to the Faculty of Environmental Engineering's Study Support Fund during the pandemic or giving up their gifts to others…

Embracing the spirit of "helping those in need," the students of the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering are always empathetic to each other's difficulties during the current prolonged pandemic.

“The Vietnamese people have a fervent love for their country, a precious tradition passed down from generation to generation. Therefore, I believe that giving up my share of the gifts or contributing more to those in need is necessary, demonstrating the Vietnamese spirit of mutual support and compassion!” – Student Le Quang Phuc shared.

"Taking a break from my part-time job has made living expenses a little more difficult, but I can still manage. Since the outbreak in Hanoi, my parents have been supporting me more with living expenses and food. So I think I should give way to someone who is in a more difficult situation," shared Phan Huy Duc.

The COVID-19 pandemic not only affected the daily livelihoods of students stranded in Hanoi, but also significantly impacted their studies.

"Due to the impact of the pandemic, we students are at a disadvantage because we're in our first year and still want to experience more things." - Huyen Trang

"I find studying a bit difficult. Not being able to go to school to see teachers and friends, and having to study only through computer and phone screens, is boring and tiring for the eyes!" – Ba Cong

“Student activities, as well as those in other professions, have been severely affected, degrading the quality of knowledge acquisition among students and hindering socio-economic progress! But I believe that with the unity of students nationwide in particular and the people of the whole country in general, we will overcome the Covid-19 pandemic!” – Quang Phuc.
