The British Council is pleased to announce that the British Council Women in STEM Scholarship Programme is back!

This year, the British Council is doubling the number of fully funded STEM scholarships from six UK universities for women in East Asia to support women wishing to pursue master's degrees at UK universities in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) related fields.

The Women in STEM Scholarship is open to applicants from East Asia, including Vietnam.

Eligible countries: Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam
Number of scholarships: Master's (15 scholarships), Doctoral (8 scholarships)
Fields of study included in the scholarship program: Climate Change, Health Management, Automation, and Hydraulic Engineering.

Master's Program:

Edinburgh Napier University: March 9, 2022
Brunel University London : March 9, 2022
Teesside University : March 31, 2022
Liverpool John Moores University : March 31, 2022

Doctoral Program:

University of Glasgow : April 10, 2022

The necessary criteria for receiving the scholarship.

It is possible to enroll in the course starting in September/October 2022.
There is a possibility of demonstrating the need for financial assistance.
Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree that meets the course requirements for scholarship-eligible subjects and have sufficient English proficiency to study and conduct research at UK universities.
Actively involved in or demonstrating passion for the registered field of study.
