On the morning of August 2nd, 2020, the 2019-2020 Student Science and Technology Conference took place in the lecture hall of building H3, University of Civil Engineering. This is an annual event aimed at motivating, encouraging, and promoting scientific research activities among students. From there, it develops and improves the quality of learning, research, and other skills for students. This activity helps students consolidate their knowledge, access, and update the latest scientific research methods and results.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung – Deputy Head of the Faculty of Computer Science, Chairman of the Council – opened the conference.
In the first phase this year, the Faculty of Environmental Engineering's subcommittee participated in 15 research projects, which were defended before three committees. Overall, all the Faculty's projects were of high quality. The research problems covered a wide range of pressing issues, attracting the attention of scientists, engineers, architects, policymakers, and the government. Examples include soil, water, and air pollution; issues related to the impact of climate change and global warming; and topics related to energy efficiency in buildings.

One of the highlights of this year's conference.
The judging panel consisted of lecturers from the Faculty of Computer Science – experts and researchers with extensive experience and in-depth knowledge related to various topics. The 15 members of the panel spent considerable time discussing, carefully considering, and thoroughly evaluating all criteria before reaching a high level of consensus to award 2 first prizes, 3 second prizes, and 6 third prizes. This was because all the submitted projects were of high scientific quality and had comparable practical applications.

The professors on the council discussed several issues while listening to the students' presentations.
