Perhaps you didn't know, but besides being a former member of the Organizing Committee of the HUCE Student Union, Huong Giang has also been a core member of the Environmental Engineering Faculty's Organizing Committee since 2020. If you're a reader of the Environmental Engineering Faculty's website and fanpage, you've certainly had the chance to interact with Huong Giang through her beautiful images and writings.

First of all, BTT would like to thank Huong Giang for taking the time to share her stories with the lovely readers of the Faculty of Computer Science. Today, we will explore these interesting stories through the Question and Answer section!
Huong Giang, are you happy to share your memories of your time with the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, especially your involvement in student recruitment, with our readers? In what aspects do you feel you have improved after this experience?
“Joining the Faculty's Communications Committee was a new experience for me. After participating for a while, I've upgraded my writing and image design skills (although they're still a bit bad ^^). During my time working on admissions, I had the opportunity to work closely with the faculty members. I found them very meticulous, dedicated, and professional in guiding us and pointing out even the smallest spelling mistakes. I hope to continue working with the Communications Committee for a long time.”
Not only is Huong Giang active in extracurricular activities, but she is also among the top students in the Environmental Engineering major. Would you mind sharing your study tips for Environmental Engineering students?
“My secret? I think anyone can do this, but the hardest part is being able to do it consistently. That is, you have to attend all classes, listen carefully, take complete notes, and do all the relevant exercises. If you have any questions during the course, you can discuss them directly or email the teachers for help. Don't be shy, because the teachers are always enthusiastic about guiding you. During exam season, I collect practice questions from study groups and buy additional materials at 59 Giai Phong Street.”
Through hard work, active communication with teachers, and diligent practice with exam questions each season, Huong Giang has maintained excellent academic performance across multiple semesters. Currently, her GPA is 3.39/4, and her GPA from the previous semester was 3.59/4 – a commendable achievement at a school known as the "55 Giai Phong Slaughterhouse."
After studying at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, what benefits did Huong Giang experience from the CDIO-based training program?
“The CDIO program has reduced credits and eliminated unnecessary courses, so I found the curriculum much lighter than the traditional training program. From my first year, I got to study with specialized professors that I wouldn't normally get to learn in my third or fourth year. I also had the opportunity to work on projects related to solid waste management with my supervisor and interact with foreign experts. Through these projects, I had the chance to improve my English, understand my major better, and most importantly, I completely mastered Excel.”

Besides her classroom studies, what extracurricular activities has Huong Giang participated in? And could you share some of the achievements you've accomplished over the years?
“When I first entered university, I was fortunate enough to be a collaborator for the Build Up program of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering. This is the biggest event of the university every year. Through Build Up, I learned a lot about…” I learned about how large-scale programs are formed and operated, gained some behind-the-scenes insights, and made many new friends. After that, I worked in the Student Union's Organizing Committee and assisted with school events. Currently, I only work in the Faculty's Communications Committee.”

Build Up Big Bang 2019 – Hanoi University of Civil Engineering
Every journey brings valuable experiences, not only helping us improve ourselves but also fostering warm friendships. Utilizing your university years to acquire in-depth knowledge as a stepping stone to a successful career is already a good thing. But combining further education with extracurricular activities to enhance soft skills is like winning a buy-one-get-one-free prize. And our charismatic Huong Giang has done just that, which is why she's featured in The Face of FEE series – a talented Environmental Engineering student.
Before we conclude today's conversation, as a senior student, does Huong Giang have any message for the 2003 graduating class as they embark on their university journey?
I once read a really good quote:
'You need to clearly define what value you're paying for, and how that value will benefit you, not just for 3 or 5 years, but for your entire life.'
"Hopefully, the 2003 graduates will also read this quote, and I think you should believe in your own choices and strive to achieve your goals well."

BTT would like to thank Huong Giang for taking the time to share her story. It has been a long journey filled with hard work and many beautiful memories. We wish Huong Giang continued beauty, unwavering enthusiasm, and lasting success on her chosen path with BTT!
