Target :

The objective of this project is to build a database of emission levels and thresholds, and to propose solutions for controlling the emission of pollutants (primarily volatile organic compounds - VOCs) from building materials used in civil construction projects in Vietnam.

Main results : The project has been implemented and has achieved the following main results:

- Analyzing and evaluating the scientific and practical basis for the development and application of emission standards; and the certification and labeling system for VOC emissions of building materials used in civil engineering projects .

- Develop a database of emission levels and propose VOC emission thresholds for several groups of commonly used building materials in civil construction projects in Vietnam .

- Propose solutions for controlling VOC emissions during the production and use of building materials .

Activities to share and promote the research results of the project at Vietnam Green Building Week 2022 .

Practical applications : The research results of this project contribute to providing a scientific basis and supporting the improvement of policies and regulations on VOC emission control for construction materials , and the development and implementation of a VOC emission certification and labeling system for construction materials in Vietnam.
