1. Program Introduction

• The Engineering Systems (ES) specialization in construction trains Bachelors and Engineers with knowledge in analyzing, calculating, selecting, and arranging for the design, installation, acceptance testing, and operation of engineering systems in buildings, including ventilation and air conditioning systems, water supply and drainage systems, fire protection systems, electrical systems, and other systems to ensure safety and comfort in buildings.

2. Application Information

• The 68HKEC High-Quality English Class is a specialized class in Engineering Systems in Construction, under the Civil Engineering major.
• Training level and duration:
  • Bachelor's degree: 4 years
  • Engineer (equivalent to a master's degree): 5 ÷ 5.5 years
• Language of instruction: Vietnamese and English
• Enrollment quota: 50 students

3. Eligibility Criteria

All candidates admitted to Hanoi University of Civil Engineering for the 2023-2024 academic year have an admission score ≥ the admission score for the Engineering Systems in Construction major;

4. Opportunities and advantages of studying in the HKCE high-quality English class compared to the regular HKC class.

• As students of the first cohorts of the program, they became the first high-quality bachelors/engineers specializing in Engineering Systems in construction in Vietnam;
• Students will receive intensive English language instruction and study specialized subjects in English throughout the course, and will practice English through tests, exams, major assignments, course projects, and thematic discussions conducted in English.
• Students are provided with favorable conditions for learning and research through a system of materials and textbooks in English, and a team of lecturers with high professional and English language qualifications;
• Students are given access to laboratory systems and equipment funded by various sources within the Faculty of Environmental Engineering (FAE), and can participate in international collaborative projects and research topics in science and technology led by FAE faculty members.
• Having the opportunity to attend classes and workshops led by foreign lecturers;
• They will be given priority consideration for participation in short-term exchange and internship programs abroad while still studying at the university;
• Priority is given to those recommended for master's and doctoral programs and to participate in overseas scholarship programs with partner universities (USA, Sweden, Japan, Australia, South Korea, UK, Belgium, etc.).
• Priority will be given to referrals for recruitment into large domestic and international companies and corporations.
