Today, the Communications Team of the Faculty of Civil Engineering is honored to have a conversation with Linh Chi (a former student of the Faculty of Civil Engineering) – a talented young woman who participated in compiling a book with the Head of the Water Supply and Drainage Department shortly after graduation. Without further ado, let's learn about Linh Chi's story!

Ung Thi Linh Chi - a former student of class 59MNE - is currently working as a water engineer at RFR French-Vietnamese Construction Design Consulting Co., Ltd.
First of all, BTT would like to thank Linh Chi for taking the time to share her story. To give readers a clearer understanding of Linh Chi, could you please introduce yourself and your current work?
Hello everyone, I'm Ung Thi Linh Chi, a former student of class 59MNE, currently working as a water engineer at RFR French-Vietnamese Construction Design Consulting Co., Ltd.
Could you tell us about the book's content and your experiences while writing it?

During my graduation project, I received additional guidance from Professor Viet Anh on the topic of wastewater reuse. At the time, I found this to be a very interesting and highly applicable topic. Fortunately, after graduation, I had the opportunity to participate in compiling the book "Wastewater Treatment and Reuse" with him. This is perhaps the most memorable experience because I was able to learn a lot from him, and it was also one of the main motivations for me to decide to pursue a master's degree.
Hopefully, you can share your reasons and motivations for deciding to pursue a Master's degree with our readers. And what requirements did you need to prepare for the application process? What do you consider the most challenging aspect?
The professors in the department often share and introduce master's programs both domestically and internationally on the page, and I find that preparing for the admission requirements isn't as difficult as people think. Therefore, I'm confident that if you have enough passion and determination, you can absolutely choose to register for postgraduate programs that suit you.
Before deciding to study abroad, Linh Chi must have had a wonderful time as a student at the University of Construction, right? Besides studying in the classroom, what other activities did you participate in that helped you after graduation?
Studying is indeed stressful, but it's not dry because there are many activities for students to learn additional skills. For me, participating in scientific research is a stepping stone for my future career because I received a lot of guidance from my professors, from writing reports, processing data, synthesizing documents, to presentation skills and answering questions. Everything was guided very attentively by my professors, so I didn't feel confused or overwhelmed at all during my later work.
Chi, could you share a memorable student experience with our readers? Are there any teachers, classmates, or places that Linh Chi remembers and cherishes the most?

My student life was closely associated with 59MNE and Ms. Huyen – my homeroom teacher. Everyone was so friendly and enthusiastic, so I felt very lucky to be a part of 59MNE.
Speaking of my most memorable experience, and I think for civil engineering students in general, it's probably those times sitting in the hallway preparing and waiting for my turn to defend my project. I felt both nervous and scared, studying and then rushing over to ask for advice whenever someone finished their defense. Even after graduating, this remains an unforgettable memory.

Those are truly fascinating stories! Once again, BTT would like to thank Linh Chi for sharing these beautiful stories of her youth with our readers. We hope that Linh Chi's future path will be smooth sailing, and we wish her much luck in life, good health, and the achievement of her goals!
