The Vietnam Green Generation Network is a network of individuals and youth organizations who share a common interest in environmental issues and are willing to learn and change for a sustainable life. Through their passion and actions, the Green Generation Network encourages young people and communities to understand climate change and take green action. The Vietnam Green Generation Network operates under the coordination and support of the Live & Learn Vietnam Centre for Environment and Community , in collaboration with Plan International, Oxfam, the British Council, and other like-minded organizations and individuals.
On International Clean Air Day 2020, the "Green Ambassador" program is officially launched to find and expand the network of green ambassadors. By participating in the program, we will go through three stages of the journey to becoming a "Green Ambassador," including:
Phase 1: September 7 - October 15, 2020: Personal Change
Completed two e-learning courses on the topics of air pollution and climate change.
Complete 6 ACTION challenges
Phase 2: October 16 - November 16, 2020: Changes in family and friends
Participated in 4 workshops on environmental topics at the American Center.
Challenge yourself to change your family and friends through your actions.
Phase 3: November 1 - December 31, 2020: Community Change
Participate in environmental projects with financial and professional support from Live&Learn.
By participating in the Green Ambassador program, in addition to the "Green Ambassador" certificate awarded by the U.S. Embassy, USAID, and Live & Learn, participants also have the opportunity to receive project support in expertise and finance up to 30 million VND.
For clubs and youth groups, each group with 10 or more members who complete Phase 1 of the "Green Ambassador" program will receive a gift from the program including a certificate and educational materials.
The Green Ambassador Program is part of the “Together for Clean Air” campaign, sponsored by the United States Agency for Development (USAID) and supported by the American Center Hanoi . This particular program is one of the activities commemorating the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the United States of America and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
