During this time when the Covid-19 pandemic is developing in a complex manner, seriously affecting the lives of many people, especially students at universities and colleges in Hanoi, timely support is extremely important.
Recognizing the urgency of the issue, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering promptly adopted a policy and plan to support students from other provinces who were unable to return to their hometowns due to social distancing measures implemented under Directive No. 16/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister.
With a focus on speed and accuracy, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering has instructed its faculties to check and review the cases of students from other provinces facing difficulties in order to provide the most timely support.
During this pandemic, the Environmental Engineering Faculty has nearly 140 students from other provinces stranded in Hanoi. Understanding their difficulties, the Environmental Engineering Faculty and its Student Union have appealed for support from the Faculty's Trade Union and faculty members to help alleviate some of the students' burden.
Since the beginning of the fourth wave of the pandemic, The Faculty of Computer Science, together with the university and sponsors, has conducted 6 support campaigns, each assisting 20-50 students facing difficulties and stranded in Hanoi.
Besides some particularly difficult cases that received cash assistance, the majority of students received support in the form of essential daily necessities such as rice, eggs, meat, and vegetables.

Practical gifts were delivered to the students.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Computer Science, exchanged ideas, inquired about and encouraged the students.

Ms. Dinh Thi Phuong Lan - Secretary of the Youth Union of the Faculty of Computer Science, shared her thoughts with the students.
Thanks to the timely support from the University and the Faculty of Computer Science, the students sent messages expressing their deepest gratitude for the teachers' care and attention.

This is a deeply meaningful humanitarian activity that reflects the nation's beautiful tradition of mutual support and compassion, contributing to the city government's efforts to ensure social welfare and resolutely control and repel the Covid-19 pandemic, so that life can soon return to a new normal.
