Research field

  • Air pollution, human health risk assessment: health impacts from exposure to fine particulate matter and air pollutants, identification and toxicity assessment of pollutants in dust, especially research and characterization of PAHs and their derivatives in dust, which are high-risk carcinogens and mutagenic substances.

  • Air quality management: especially inside buildings, technological and engineering solutions to control quality and protect human health. Development and manufacture of monitoring equipment for dust and toxic substances in indoor and ambient air to assess emission sources.

  • Energy-balanced buildings; carbon-neutral buildings; energy-efficient buildings: research on technical solutions to improve energy efficiency in construction, development of a system for evaluating, ranking, and certifying energy-efficient buildings, green buildings, energy-balanced buildings, and carbon-neutral buildings.

  • Digital technology applications in building thermal analysis and assessment, carbon lifecycle assessment, smart cities, and low-carbon cities: applying digital technology to optimize energy efficiency and minimize the environmental impact of buildings and cities through data analysis, simulation, and intelligent management tools.
