Daikin Scholarship Award Ceremony 2019 and Seminar “The New Era of Daikin Air Conditioning Systems”

On December 21, 2019, the Department of Microclimate – Building Environment, Faculty of Environmental Engineering, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering (HUCE), in collaboration with Daikin Air Conditioning (Vietnam) Joint Stock Company, organized the Daikin Scholarship Award Ceremony 2019 and a seminar on "The New Era of Daikin Air Conditioning Systems" for students majoring in Building Engineering Systems (HK), with the aim of encouraging and motivating students' learning spirit.

Attending the scholarship awarding ceremony and workshop, on behalf of Daikin Company were: Ms. Ly Thi Phuong Trang – General Director; Mr. Le Tuan Minh – Deputy Head of Solutions Sales Department; Mr. Nguyen Duc Hoang – Senior Manager of Technical Business Division. On behalf of the University of Civil Engineering were: Mr. Pham Huu Tung – Deputy Head of Training Department; Mr. Bui Quang Trung – Head of Student Affairs and Management Department; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung – Deputy Head of Environmental Engineering Faculty; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Quang – Head of Microclimate Department; Mr. Nguyen Huy Tien – Deputy Head of Microclimate Department; along with faculty members and students from the Engineering Systems in Construction major.

With its motto "Putting people first," Daikin Vietnam has always focused on developing its human resources, starting from the student level. Every year, Daikin Vietnam provides scholarship programs for students at universities and colleges nationwide. The Daikin scholarship has been supporting students in the Engineering Systems in Construction (HK) program at the University of Civil Engineering for nearly 10 years, serving as a source of encouragement for their studies. This year, the 2019 Daikin scholarship awarded three scholarships to three outstanding HK students with excellent academic and training achievements during the 2018-2019 academic year. These scholarships are not only significant in terms of material support but also serve as a source of motivation for the students' learning and research.

Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Quang - Head of the Microclimate Department, University of Civil Engineering, awarded scholarships to 3 outstanding students of the Aviation major who achieved excellent academic and training results in the 2018-2019 academic year.

Speaking at the scholarship awarding ceremony, Ms. Ly Thi Phuong Trang, General Director of Daikin Vietnam, expressed her sincere gratitude to the leaders of the University of Civil Engineering, the leaders of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering, and especially the Department of Microclimate for creating opportunities for Daikin to interact and exchange academic knowledge with the lecturers and students of the University. At the same time, Ms. Ly Thi Phuong Trang also expressed her hope that Daikin Air Conditioning Vietnam would continue to partner and cooperate with the University in the long term, remaining a promising destination for many talented students of the University of Civil Engineering in general and the Engineering Systems in Construction major in particular.

On behalf of the University of Civil Engineering, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Quang – Head of the Department of Microclimate and Construction Environment – expressed his gratitude for the practical support from Daikin Company. These scholarships are not only significant in terms of material value but also hold great spiritual meaning, providing timely encouragement and motivation for students, helping them to be more confident in their studies and knowledge acquisition. At the same time, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Quang also expressed his hope to continue receiving contributions and support from Daikin Company in the future.

At the ceremony, the Department of Microclimate also decided to award certificates of merit to four students who had made outstanding contributions to the activities of the Microclimate Club during the past academic year.

Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Quang – Head of the Microclimate Department, and Nguyen Huy Tien – Deputy Head of the Microclimate Department, presented certificates of merit to four students who had achieved outstanding results and contributed to the activities of the Microclimate Club over the past year.

At the seminar, Mr. Le Tuan Minh, Deputy Head of Solutions Sales Department at Daikin, introduced the new generation Daikin air conditioning system (Smart Home Solutions) and new devices designed to increase efficiency, minimize environmental impact, and save energy. In addition, to reinforce knowledge, after the presentation, Daikin organized a mini-game for students with short questions to supplement their understanding. Many students participated enthusiastically and successfully won prizes from Daikin Air Conditioning JSC.
